The Championship

The FJ Worlds racing event will take place from July 23rd to 26th, 2024, at Grünstrand in Travemünde, Lübeck, Germany. Participants can choose to camp at Grünstrand with tents and vans, but other accommodations are limited and should be booked early. The event will feature a social program for both sailors and guests.

Camping Options

Embrace the natural beauty and camaraderie by camping on the Grünstrand. Whether you have an RV, caravan, tent, or any other camping setup, we've got you covered!

Everybody coming with a camper or a tent can stay directly at Grünstrand. You can make a reservation for your parcel together with the inscription for the regatta. If you stay in a tent your car can park directly next to your tent. One parcel is about 6m x 8m and costs 25€ per day. The price includes 4 persons. An extra person will cost 5 € per day.

The Boat

The FJ was designed by Uus van Essen in 1955 and gained worldwide popularity. It can be constructed using wood, plastic, or a combination of both. The FJ offers strength, lightweight, and long-lasting performance, making it suitable for racing. It allows customization and individual cockpit design. The FJ class embraces technological advancements, such as trapezes and a new spinnaker.
